You seem to have done quite a bit of research into the Farrer family. However, I think you should know something about Lenny Farrer's origins.
I always assumed that they were full brothers. Years ago, I was researching the family history, concentrating on the origins of the Farrer’s; however, when I paid more attention to later generations I noticed something was amiss. Leonard was registered in SEP 1931, while Bob Farrer died on March 27th, 1930: I mentioned this to my grandma, and she said that Lenny's dad was Manager of the Kells Co-op: I later learned that his name was James Morgan.
When Lenny and Mary were over here in about 1992 I gave Lenny a copy of a family tree I'd drawn up, assuming that the Farrer’s were his forbears.
If you like, I can give you info on Lenny's mother's side, the Cowan’s, several of whom emigrated to Canada, like the Reverend John Joseph Cowan. Regards Stephen

James Morgan died January 24th, 1955, according to the stone I once came across in the cemerty; Wife Lizzie died January 4th, 1985, aged 85; their daughter Florence Lewis died 20th October, 2000, aged 72 years. James was 54, so was probably born 1900, though 2 or 3 were registered that year.
Kells is an area of Whitehaven. In the 3 baptisms I came upon, he was called a shop assistant, shop Manager, and Salesman. I've no idea what Lenny knew about his dad, though he did visit a half sister at least once. By Florence Morgan did you mean Florence McCourt?
After Bob Farrer died, Kate got involved with Morgan, who clearly went back to his Wife. She then took up with a man called John McCourt; my granda and his brothers didn't get along with him and moved out. A daughter Florence was born in 1936; she died about 3 years ago, and was the one Lenny visited, though his brothers didn't have anything to do with her.
Lenny was brought up by a Mrs. Frears, while Florence was raised by her much older half-sister.
James Morgan was described as a shop Manager in the right area of town, and when I mentioned the name to my grandma she said it was the right one.
Hi Sandi, I didn't know if she was still around or not. Sorry to hear that. My grandma said Lenny knew who his real dad was. He was also the only member of the family who had anything to do with Florence McCourt. I don't know if you've noticed the other photo I've got of Catherine Cowan. It is on the tree under her mother Elizabeth Mossop. I got it off Lenny's cousin Mabel Croasdell in West Bromwich, who was born in 1920 (got an Xmas card off her last year). October 2016.
