  • Notes
    • Awards: Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, World War ll Victory Medal, Service Lapel Button World War ll

Not sure why he was awarded the Bronze Star, but the unit he served in saw a Lot of action - from Utah beach on D-Day right through to the fighting of Waffen SS for the city of La Haye du Puits (which the unit captured on 7 July 1944). He must have received the award sometime between those two dates, and been KIAed, too. Enlisted at 18, dead at 19 Notes by Chris Barrett He has two grave stones, one where he is buired over sea and one at home in Pawling Cemetery, Pawling, Dutchess, New York, USA
