Notes - Isaiah Adkins was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, serving as a Private, Sergeant and Corporal in various regiments of the Connecticut Line. He first enlisted as a private from Guilford, CT on 06 Apr 1777 and received his discharge as Corporal on 08 June 1783. He applied for a pension on 23 Apr 1818 while residing at Greenwich, NY based on his service. His application, Pension Number: S. 49,292 can be found in the Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty-Land Warrant Application Files. In 1820, Isaiah mentions his wife (Rhoda) as being age 65 years. Isaiah Adkins was the son of Thomas A. Make note that several details have been called into question and there are no sources mentioned in that manuscript other than that of "Information from Samuel B. Adkins, Kingston, Pa."
