Notes - OBITUARY: Clista Ann Drader Babcock, daughter of George and Caroline Drader, was born near Verona, ON, March 20, 1852 and died at her home in Verona, May 2, 1922. She was married to Rev. Chas. A. Babcock, July 12, 1873. To this union eleven children were born, five of whom died in infancy and one married daughter, Evelyn Grace, died in 1912. Her husband and five daughters still survive: Mrs. Harvey J. Snider, of Portland Township, ON; Mrs. Syrenus Stevens, of Watertown: Mrs. Frank Clark of Watertown; Mrs. Clarence Carlson, of Torquay, Saskatchewan, and Mrs. Daniel Bush, of Hinchinbrook, ON. She was converted in the year 1888 and for thirty-four years lived a devoted Christian life. She was a great sufferer nearly all her married life but not a word of impatience or complaint ever escaped her lips. Hers was a triumphant death. The funeral services were conducted by the writer in the Free Methodist Church, Verona. Text, Psalm 116:15. Interment was made in the Verona Cemetery, there to await the resurrection morn. [submitted by] H.J. Crowder. (The Free Methodist, July 4, 1922)
