Notes - From: Marg Deans [mailto:deans2 at execulink. com] Sandra, I am researching the Sowden family and noticed your name attached to a query I'd done on Samuel Sowden, who lived in Paris - and built a cobblestone home. I have some info - which I will gladly share - but looking for more information on this family. My interest is two-fold. I'm the archives co-ordinator for the Paris Museum and Historical Society and am particularly interested in genealogy; and I'm writing a book on Paris people and places. Marg Deans Thanks so much for your reply! Actually it is your Samuel's Father I'm researching. He was born in Scotland - a doctor at the least and likely a surgeon. He was listed as a doctor and surgeon here - but never actually practiced as far as we can tell and made his living as a druggist and stationer from a dispensary and shop in his home. He died in Scotland, leaving behind his Wife and children here in Canada. I'm happy to share this info with you about Samuel I if you would like it. Let me know and will send info to you when I have a few minutes to compile it.
